2023 Donor Campaign: Light Coming Through - Celebrating The Middle Way Initiative

Dear Friends,

The end of the year is when we reach out to seek your support for Elizabeth’s teachings and her work through The Middle Way Initiative. Our founding Mission Statement continues to guide our work:

The Middle Way Initiative is actively committed to bringing the Middle Way tradition into the world in a broader way. It is our strong conviction that these teachings, and the methods of inquiry that characterize the middle way, are gravely needed in the world at this time as a powerful antidote to extreme thinking.

We extend our deepest appreciation for all you have done including your financial support, your dharma study and practice, your prayers, and the service you have generously offered!

This year’s Donor Campaign includes a chance to be entered into a drawing for a beautiful print of Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche’s painting “Light Coming Through”. The print is on archival paper and will be signed by Rinpoche.

Rinpoche will join Elizabeth for this year’s final Open Question Live Conversation on December 16, from 10am-Noon USA MT. Registration is now open. >>

Our Donor Campaign runs through December 31, 2023. All donors who give $108 or more during the campaign, or who have given a cumulative amount of $108 or more during 2023, will be included in the drawing. Please know that no donation amount is too small or goes without appreciation.

Please visit the MWI “Giving” webpage for the secure portal for online donations. Information is also provided on the page about how to donate by check. We also appreciate those donors who have enhanced their donation through matching grant options through their employers.

Open Question Live with Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche

Register Today for the December 16th Open Question Conversation: "Cultivating Healthy Interdependence”

Please join us on: Saturday, December 16, from 10am-12pm USA MT for our next OQ Live Conversation with Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche and Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel, "Cultivating Healthy Interdependence."

During this intimate and precious time with Rinpoche, Elizabeth will engage her root teacher in a conversation about Bodhicitta and how we can cultivate healthy interdependence with our world. In particular, she will ask Rinpoche to talk about ‘lhenchak,’ or karmic debt, which refers to the often unexplainable, sticky relationships we find ourselves caught in.

Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche is a lineage holder of the Longchen Nyingthig lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and the Founder and Spiritual Head of Mangala Shri Bhuti.

Rinpoche was raised in a monastic environment and has received extensive training in all aspects of Buddhist doctrine. His principal teacher was Khyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

Event Price (Live and recordings): $25 USD. No one turned away for lack of funds.
