Episode 107: Every Breath a Prayer: Lyla June Johnston

Lyla June Johnston is an indigenous environmental scientist, doctoral student, educator, community organizer and musician of Diné (Navajo), Cheyenne, and European lineages. She is from Taos, NM.

I first encountered Lyla at The Festival of Faiths annual gathering in Louisville, KY. I was struck by a fierceness in her that I could only interpret as a strong connection to the wisdom of her spiritual lineage. In this interview we talk about the nature of creativity, prayer, self love, and the idea that “all we have to do is change everything."
